How it's calculated

unit price = price ÷ quantity; best = lowest price per common unit

price = item price, quantity = pack size in its unit. Every item is normalised to one base unit (per lb, per gallon, or per each) so prices can be compared directly.

Common questions

Can I compare items sold in different units?

Yes. Pick the matching unit for each item and the tool normalizes everything to price per pound or per gallon so the comparison is fair.

How many items can I compare at once?

Up to four side by side. That's enough to weigh a few store brands against the name brand.
